Advenio Software has developed DSC Iris a system that connects all the coastal stations digitally with the service of the Digital Selective Calling (DSC) of a country or region, forming a highly innovative network solution that guarantees the DSC Enforcement Authorities providing a safe and reliable service.
Digital Selective Calling or DSC (Digital Selective English Calling DSC) is a communication method using an automatic transmission technique of the digitally encoded calls, this means that is not verbal. The DSC allows selectively calling a ship or a ground station, and pressing a button to launch an automatic distress alert to any station. It is a fundamental part of the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS).
Developed with high quality standards, using opensource and multi-platform technologies, with WEB user interfaces, offers two software modules, within an interconnected network:
- DSC Operator Console: The Console enables the Coastal Station operation by receiving, processing, responding and transmitting any kind of digital selective calling, via VHF, MF and HF radio devices
- DSC Operations Control Center: The Operations Control Center, in a centralized way, monitors the state of the entire service; ensures that every calling is attended; remotely, configures and operates communications devices; controls that the different nodes of the system are properly operating; detects failures
System architecture and Graphical User Interface (GUI) based on Web technologies facilitate connectivity, enabling to access, control and operate any node of the system via a simple URL.
